Doctor
of Philosophy in
Business Administration (Ph.D.)
The
Doctor of Philosophy represents the highest level of achievement
in any academic discipline. Yuin University is proud to offer a
research degree resulting in a Doctor of Philosophy in Business
Administration. The purpose of the Doctor of Philosophy in Business
Administration program is to prepare students for the highest level
of leadership in business and industry, to conduct and participate
in research in the field of business administration and to teach
business administration in colleges and universities. Students who
earn this degree are qualified to enter academia or the top levels
of business or government service. These graduates will have demonstrated
excellence in their pursuit of academic study in their selected
field. As with any quality Ph.D. degree, the work is challenging
but the rewards are substantial.
Doctor
of Philosophy in Business Administration Admissions:
A.
General Requirements:
- Minimum
educational requirements are an earned bachelor degree. Further,
candidate should hold an earned MBA degree or master's degree
in related displine. Both must be from state-approved or regionally
or nationally accredited institution, or equivalent.
- Applicants
should have 5 years of full-time professional work experience.
B.
English and Mathematics Proficiency:
- Students
are required to take the Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL)
examination if the native language is not English. A minimum score
of 450 on the TOEFL examination is required for admission.
- All
students must take the placement test for mathematics proficiency
(PTMP).
If student has SAT score of 1000 or greater or ACT score of 20
or greater, then he/she does not need to take the PTMP.
Doctor
of Philosophy in Business Administration Graduation Requirements:
- Student
must complete 60-semester units of credit. One semester unit is
15 contact hours for 16 weeks. Total contact hours: 900 hours.
- Student
must maintain their GPA at 3.00, with no grade less than 'C'.
- Satisfactory
completion of all coursework
over
twelve (12) semesters (approximately 48 months chronological time).
- Satisfactory
completion of doctoral dissertation including oral defense of
dissertation.
- Students
must apply for graduation and meet all academic and financial
requirements.
Doctor
of Philosophy in Business Administration Program Description:
