Master
of Divinity (M.Div.)
The
Master of Divinity Degree is an eighty-eight (88) unit (three year)
program, fulfilling all the educational requirements necessary for
ordination. It is similar to the Doctor of Ministry degree program
but requires neither the colloquium nor the professional project.
Master
of Divinity Admissions:
A. General Requirements:
- Minimum
educational requirements are an earned bachelor degree from state-approved
or regionally or nationally accredited institution, or equivalent.
B.
English and Mathematics Proficiency:
- Students
are required to take the Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL)
examination if the native language is not English. A minimum score
of 450 on the TOEFL examination is required for admission.
- All
students must take the placement test for mathematics proficiency
(PTMP).
If student has SAT score of 1000 or greater or ACT score of 20
or greater, then he/she does not need to take the PTMP.
Master
of Divinity Graduation Requirements:
- Student
must complete 88-semester units of credit. One semester unit is
15 contact hours for 16 weeks. Total contact hours: 1,320 hours.
- Student
must maintain their GPA at 3.00, with no grade less than 'C'.
- Satisfactory
completion of all required course work
over 8 semesters time (approximately 32 months chronological time).
- Students
must apply for graduation and meet all academic and financial
requirements.
Master
