Requirements For Applicants With Foreign Degrees
Applicants
who have degrees from foreign institutions of higher education
need to have these credentials evaluated by a third party,
such as the World Education Services, Inc. or Educational
Credential Evaluation, Inc. This evaluation is intended to
ensure that the foreign degrees are equivalent to the degrees
offered by institutions of higher education in the United
States. It is recommended that applicants obtain a course-by-course
evaluation. For more information contact the Office of Admissions.
Student
Visa / I-20’s
This
University is authorized by the United States Department of
Justice, Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) to issue
the I-20 Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant (F-1)
Student Status to qualified foreign students to study in the
United States for academic degrees. The University evaluates
each candidate and issues an I-20 to only qualified individuals
who meet the University’s admissions requirements. This
I-20 is used to apply for an F-1 visa at the United States
Embassy or Consulate in the country of the student’s
residence. Visa approval is under the authorization and power
of the United States Embassy and not controlled by the University.
